Scott Thomas

Scott Thomas has been working since the age of seven starting in his family’s donut shop business, learning customer service skills that would help him become the wedding consultant and event planner he is today. At the age of 17 he began working in the entertainment industry as an actor at the former Playboy Club in Lake Geneva Wisconsin, and an assistant disc jockey right after college with a small mobile DJ company in the Chicago suburbs. After moving up to Wisconsin in the mid 80’s, he learned from the late Moe Billington, renowned pianist, entertainer and showman, as they set up the first DJ booth in the Woodshed Lounge at the Interlaken Resort in Lake Geneva. It was this experience which lead him to become a full time Disc Jockey working a variety of dance clubs and mobile events.

At some point in the early 90’s, he partnered up with Steve Alan and they created a talk show on WMIR; Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. When the station was purchased and the format changed, Steve went out west and Scott stayed in Wisconsin but their friendship lasted and they stayed in touch.

It was about that time that he learned his singing voice was in demand and began doing musicals on stage including “Hello Dolly” and “The King and I” and added karaoke to his entertainment company allowing him to do corporate performances as a singer and entertainer as well. His popularity as an entertainer created opportunities to even perform in other countries throughout the late 90’s up to and including today.

Then in 2017, as technology created things like Skype, YouTube, FaceBook and others, Scott and Steve had both been creating content and posting videos and pictures when it dawned on them both… COLABORATE! We had worked so well together on the radio station, maybe now was the time to once again work together and create a talk show that was fun and positive to provide an alternative to the negative news that has become a daily grind. This show is of course; “What Happened to the World Today” three shows a week on YouTube. Scott also has a once a week cooking show “Funguy the Entertainer Cooks for You” also on YouTube.

Scott is also available for Stage shows, corporate entertainment, live cooking shows and he is a minister available for weddings and advice videos as seen on his YouTube channel “Funguy the Entertainer”
